Its been so long since I’ve done an Outfit of the Day post (but then again, I never really wear anything worthy of one!). Today, though, I’m wearing this gorgeous skirt that I got from the GAP last weekend. I had been lusting after this skirt for so long online but it was always sold out. When I finally found it in the store I grabbed it up! 
Sorry the picture is blurry…the bf took it so who knows lol.
And here’s a little haul from New York and Company! I don’t know why I don’t go there more often. They have a lot of great clothes that are perfect for work (a lot of good basics). They were having a pretty big sale today (up to 50% off everything) and I picked up a couple button down blouses (which is basically what I wear 99% of the time for the office) and a shorter sleeve black cardi.

This week’s Friday’s Fancies theme is chambray, and I honestly had to google it because I had no idea what it was! Its a type of fabric that is very light and airy…perfect for summer. This chambray top reminded me of the beach!

I received the Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition Shampoo & Conditioner through BzzAgent! I’ve been using the shampoo every time I wash my hair (the conditioner often as well) for over 2 weeks now so I figure its time to review them for you guys!
I was a bit hesitant to try this shampoo and conditioner because I’ve been using sulfate-free formulas regularly for awhile and didn’t know if this would negatively affect my scalp. I was also hesitant because its a cheaper brand, and I wasn’t too thrilled with the Tresemme that I had received in a previous Bzz Campaign. The only other Garnier Fructis product I’ve used in the past was their leave-in conditioner (which I loved) so I can’t say I’ve had any negative experiences with the brand. Sure enough, I’ve been pretty pleased with the Triple Nutrition shampoo/conditioner!
PROS: This shampoo and conditioner are meant for dry, damaged hair. I usually style my hair with heat daily, so I’d say its pretty damaged. Both the shampoo and conditioner are fortified with some great moisturizing ingredients: avocado, olive oil, and shea. Both products smell absolutely amazing…very fruity and fresh! The conditioner formula is extremely creamy (as opposed to a lot of conditioners within the same price range) and reminded me a bit of the consistency of the macadamia oil deep repair masque, which I was also sampling at the time. Both of these products left my hair noticeably more moisturized, shiny, and less frizzy and dry. I was previously using Organix, and I could tell that it was a bit drying to my hair when I switched to this and noticed a difference. So 2 thumbs up for moisturizing!
CONS: On the flip-side, the issue with very moisturizing shampoos/conditioners such as this one is that they tend to weigh down your hair a bit, which I’ve also noticed since I’ve started using this. This is probably more noticeable with my hair type, which is very fine, but its harder to get volume in my hair when using this shampoo and conditioner and I’ve been reaching for the dry shampoo a bit more on day 2. I wouldn’t say this is something that has been a huge downside, though…just something I’ve noticed.
So would I suggest this shampoo and conditioner? If you have very dry, brittle, and damaged hair I would absolutely suggest you try it (for the price, you might as well!) If your hair is very fine and gets weighed down easily, then I’d suggest using it every other time you wash your hair. I can imagine these would be great products for someone who has very thick and dry hair.

This week is something I am lusting after…the Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-hour Blushes! I have heard such great things about these blushes as far as the shades and how long they last. The shade options are gorgeous (I want Blissful, Exposed, and Tipsy!) The only issue is that its a bit pricey for me for blush, but I’m still planning to pick one up at some point especially if I can find a discount

I was really excited about this Birchbox, because the last time they teamed up with someone (Teen Vogue), the box was one of the best! Unfortunately I missed out on that one (which was in March when I was unsubscribed) so I was hoping to get a good box for the Gossip Girl one. Sadly, the box wasn’t that great for me personally, but it was a good box overall if you actually like the products in it (and if all the products were full).
- Dr. Jart+ Water Fuse Beauty Balm SPF 25+ I was really excited to try this product, but guess what? I can’t because the tube is completely empty, as are the tubes of most of the people who received this sample (either empty or barely full). I haven’t received a response to the email that I sent and, as far as I know, they haven’t addressed this issue at all through Facebook or Twitter or by an email. You’d think with the amount of empty samples that are popping up, they would at least acknowledge the problem since there are many unhappy subscribers complaining. Wtf Birchbox?
ETA: I just received a response from Birchbox that they are sending me a new sample of the BB Cream, which is good! Hopefully it won’t be empty. - Kérastase Cristalliste Lumiere Liquide I’m looking forward to trying this product, although the sample size is pretty small. Kérastase is one of those really pricey (and very hyped up) brands and I’m not really sure if its worth the price tag, so this is a good way to try out some products first!
- Stila Sparkle Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner in “curacao” This was the obvious star product of the box! Unfortunately, its sparkly electric blue which, uh, isn’t something I wear. Luckily I should be trading this with another Birchbox subscriber for the LipFushion balm, which some people received in their boxes. That is also a full size product and is definitely more my style. You’d think since these boxes are “personalized” they’d be tailored to your style (for me, neutral) but I guess not! Its still awesome that there was a full size liner in here…and luckily someone who really wants it will end up having it.
- Color Club Foil Collection in “Disco Nap” Similar to the Stila in that if this was a neutral color I would love it, but I have little use for a glittery gold polish. If it was a little less opaque I could use it for a sheer accent nail type thing, but its very opaque so still too much for me. I’m open to trading it if anyone else would want this and received (or has) a less crazy color!
- Kérastase Cristalliste Bain Cristal – Fine This is one of two foil-sized Kerastase samples. Looking forward to trying this out this shampoo since I do have fine hair.
- Kérastase Lait Cristal Conditioner Same as above…another foil sample that I’m looking forward to trying.
- Notecard (EXTRA) I don’t even think I should list this as a “product”. Thanks for the thin piece of paper that I could have printed off my computer?
So yea…is this a bad box? It is for me, but I would consider it a pretty good box generally speaking considering it contained a full-size Stila liner and nail polish. If this box had a brown pencil liner (like a Stila smudgestick), a neutral polish, and a Dr. Jart sample that actually had product in it then it would be amazing for me! But unfortunately I really can’t use most of the products in here save for the Kerastase. I’ve been looking at some of the other boxes and it looks like some people really got jipped by not receiving the Stila or any other good product. They sent out Beauty Blender cleansers to people who didn’t even receive the beauty blender in a previous box. What are they supposed to do with that? Yes, they can use it as a brush cleaner but that’s not really what it was made for and its probably confusing to receive that if you don’t know what a beauty blender is. I saw a comment on Facebook where a lady was asking if she is supposed use to use it to cleanse her face! 
Talk about confused.

Just a quick nail post! I did the Race for the Cure today in Philly, so hot pink nails were very fitting. I don’t usually wear hot pink because of work, but it was fun just for a couple days!
This color is “Oasis” by Sinful Colors (received in this awesome giveaway that I won awhile ago). Its the perfect hot pink! This was a couple days after I applied it so sorry for the minor chips!

This week’s theme for Friday’s Fancies is color crush! I’ve been really loving the combo of blue and orange lately (specifically coral and cobalt)! I have yet to work these colors into my wardrobe but hopefully I can somehow!

I received the latest Target beauty bag last week and completely forgot to post about it! It was the same day I got my Allure Box so there was a lot going on This is my second Target Beauty Bag that I’ve gotten (click here to see my first). Here is what they sent me:

To be honest, the product I liked most from this was the actual bag! Its so adorable and I love the pink and red stripes. I’ll definitely make use of it! The only product I’ve used so far is the facial wipes…they are okay, but not as good or soft as my Yes to Blueberries ones. I am going to try out the primer soon I think. The conditioner, cleanser, and lotion will come in handy when traveling so I will probably not use them until then.

This is the first time I’m participating in Nykki’s mane blog‘s Question Wednesday!
- 1. What is your favorite season && why? Autumn! I love the crisp, cool air and the leaves changing and the clothes and boots…pretty much everything
- 2. What is your favorite flower? I would have to say roses! Rose is my favorite scent and they are gorgeous flowers.
- 3. What is the current trend that you love, but haven’t or wouldn’t try? {{if you are fearless, what is one that you have tried && loved}} probably the very bright colors that seem to be popular this spring, as well as anything related to color blocking. I usually tend to gravitate towards lighter colors or black…hoping to incorporate some more brights!
- 4. How would you spend an ideal spring day? walking around outside (most like shopping!) and having ice cream and just relaxing outside.
- 5. What do you love most about the spring months? Well definitely not the allergies (ugh!), but my birthday is in Spring so that’s always exciting. I love when it just starts to get warm and you can go outside without a jacket. I really hate the heat, though, so its a fine line.
